On September 28th and 29th 2015 the UN General Assembly was held in New York City, USA. The UN announced the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – a universal set of goals, targets and indicators that Member States will be expected to use to frame political agendas over the next 15 years. Amway was one of the few private sector organizations helping address the new SDGs, specifically the goal of ending hunger, through the Nutrilite™ Power of 5 Campaign
As one of the largest-selling vitamin, mineral and dietary supplement company in the world, fighting hunger is a cause Amway is committed to and passionate about leading. This involvement demonstrates Amway’s nutrition expertise offered by its largest brand – Nutrilite – to address malnutrition in an innovative way.
This SDG of ending hunger calls to end all forms of malnutrition by 2030, including achieving the internationally agreed targets on stunting and wasting in children under 5 years of age, which the Nutrilite Power of 5 Campaign directly impacts and has done so for a few years now.
The Power of 5 Campaign delivers Nutrilite™ Little Bits to malnourished children in countries around the world, supports the programs with education for families and children, and regular health assessments to check on progress.
Nutrilite Little Bits is designed to give malnourished children from six months to five years old the essential nutrients they need to grow and develop healthier brains and bodies, including a reduction in stunting and wasting.
Amway supports also children in the South Africa with Nutrilite Little Bits.
